About GMCF
Responsiveness is one of the cornerstones of GMCF's approach to its work. In an ever-changing health care environment, we do more than keep pace with the increasing needs of our customers: we anticipate and adjust to new challenges.
Our flexibility is demonstrated in the wide range of health care related services we provide that include the Medicare Quality Improvement Initiatives in Georgia. GMCF stands on a solid foundation of stability and dependability. In a wide array of health care activities that span more than 30 years, GMCF has a membership of over 1,700 actively practicing Georgia physicians, located throughout the state, who represent all specialties and all settings.
Team work and expertise are the hallmarks of our staff. Biostatisticians, data analysts, epidemiologists, and clinical and administrative health care professionals join with communication, education, and research personnel providing valuable input to our efforts.
Keeping current with technology is also a part of our structure. With our sophisticated telecommunication equipment and the programming expertise in our self-contained information systems department, we have the ability to interface with multiple organizations.
Provider training is a part of every contract we hold. But education doesn't stop with health care professionals. We are actively involved in consumer information and assistance. Our communication news media efforts were nominated by the Georgia Department of Public Health for a national United States Public Health award. Preventive health campaigns, print articles, and audio and video work have repeatedly won national awards.
Our professional partnerships are unique and our collaborative efforts rewarding. Through our collaborative efforts, we are seeing improvement in care for the Medicare consumers in Georgia. At GMCF, we implement programs that balance the need for monitoring, along with the need for improvement, without disturbing the practice of medicine. Bottom line: Our work at GMCF saves lives and dollars.
