Systems Improvement and Organizational Culture Change (SIOC)

Improving patient care by providing convenient access to specialty care for patients who live in rural areas is the goal of the Systems Improvement and Organizational Culture Change (SIOC) project.

Hospitals improve either their readiness for, or the actual implementation of, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), barcoding or telehealth. A major focus in Georgia is working on telehealth through the Georgia Telemedicine Program.
