Physician Office

GMCF serves as an information resource for Georgia physician offices. Through four distinct initiatives, GMCF aims to assist physician offices in the delivery of efficient, effective health care.

GMCF works with physician practices in Georgia to improve care by promoting evidence-based clinical guidelines related to diabetes. Also as part of our services, GMCF provides physicians with preventive guidelines for breast cancer, influenza and pneumonia.

The physician office team works with practices to promote the adoption of Health Information Technology (HIT) through the Doctor's Office Quality – Information Technology (DOQ-IT) project and the adoption of Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards developed by the Office of Minority Health. Soon GMCF will focus on improving safety in the delivery of prescription drugs.

To continue to improve the care of Medicare beneficiaries, GMCF also participates in community outreach and health promotion – through partnerships, professional conferences and education seminars.
