About EHR Prevention

Opportunity for Quality Improvement

GMCF interventions that support Electronic Health Records (EHR) can improve screening rates by utlizing EHR capabilities to notify providers and patients when cancer screenings should be scheduled. GMCF will also use EHR -focused interventions to help increase vaccination rates.

Influenza and pneumococcal vaccination levels among adults 65 years of age and older remain well below the Healthy People 2010 objective of 90%. There is a need for more effective strategies for delivering vaccines to high-risk people, their providers, and household contacts. GMCF’s QIO activities surrounding the Prevention Theme are specifically outlined by CMS.

The enrollment deadline for the Prevention is February 1, 2009. Any practices/persons interested in participating should complete the Information Request Form and a GMCF representative will contact you shortly.
